Good dog

Friday morning I started feeling really sick. I laid on the couch and thought to myself I should go get the baby who was in his crib talking but I felt too sick. Then the carbon monoxide detector alarm went off. I ran upstairs and got Jameson and opened the door to get fresh air in the house. A minute later the phone rang and it was the neighbor. She said Adam our border collie was in her house. I had not noticed that the dog ran outside. He ran next door to the neighbor's and scratched on their door. After airing the house out for an hour there was no detection of carbon monoxide. I was so glad the dog realized there was an emergency and went for help. What a good dog! I think that is what Lassie would have done! I don't think I will complain about dog hair in the house for awhile.

Sleding fun

This is what Jameson looks like wearing Mr. Potatoe Head glasses
Frosty fun on his new sled
We had lots of fun playing with Jameson's new sled. He went down our sleding hill by himself and really enjoyed being pulled around. The temp was -6 degrees F and his little cheeks were pretty rosie by the time we came inside.

Lots of Activities

Jameson and Jack at Gymnastics Inc. This was an open play session with toys and lots of things to climb on. Jameson ran for an hour. The push cars were the kid's favorite.
Jack and his mom Julie came over for lunch. This was the good bye hug.
Jameson and I went to Julie and Jack's house to paint Christmas ornaments. It was so fun and the mess was not too bad! Thanks for the pictures Julie.

Cooking With My Little Helper

Jameson likes to watch me cook. Here I am showing him how to make salad. He was good while I cut up the veggies, but then he wanted to take a turn cutting. I tried to distract him by offering him some veggies to eat and that did not make him happy.

Saturday Skijor

Our huskies Hana and Tuk
Jameson had fun watching me skijor
Go Hana
Go Tuk

Today I participated in a beginners clinic to learn how to skijor. The class was taught by members of the Alaska Skijoring and Pulk Association. It was lots of fun! The temperature was a comfortable -10 F, but the snow conditions were not favorable. We only have about six inches of snow. The average for this year is about 20 inches. Drew was my dog handler and helped me out a lot. I really hope we get more snow so I can skijor on the local goldstream trails.
